Tania Lorenzo – soprano

Tania was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. For the last two seasons she was member of the Young Ensemble of the famous Semperoper in Dresden. She completed her studies at the Conservatory of Music of the Canary Islands and at the University of the Arts in Berlin with the support of the Mapfre Guanarteme Foundation. She won many prizes such as the Zarzuela-prize in the Contest of New Voices of Seville 2019, the 1st Prize in the International Competition A Future DEARTE 2016 and many other awards.
Tania sang Papagena, Esmeralda (Die Verkaufte Braut), Amour (Platée), Nella (Gianni Schicchi), Girl (Trouble in Tahiti), Madmoiselle Silverklang and Telaraña (The Fairy Queen) and many other roles. She has been invited repeatedly to the International Bach Festival of the Canary Islands performing the Stabat Mater de Pergolesi, in Bach’s Magnificat and the Bachiana nº5 by Heitor Villa-Lobos.
